The shop local movement gets a little bigger every year. The big chain stores will always have their place. Yes, I shop at Walmart, especially when I need to stock up on toilet paper. But there's another movement gaining in popularity, and that one is of minimalism. You see that in best selling books such as
The-Life-Changing-Magic-Tidying-Decluttering and more. So what now? Well, here's where these two ideas converge. When you buy at a small shop, or a handmade artist at a craft fair, you are spending a little more on one item. Well, just buy one item. The recipient of your thoughtful gift will appreciate it, AND the fact that there is only one item.
Go to your local church fair. Find that gem. Feel good on so many levels!
Now, I'm going to take the opportunity to mention my church fair this Saturday in the Griswold/Jewett City area in Connecticut.
Are you planning on attending a local fair this weekend? Go ahead and mention it in the comments. Thanks!
